1992 VP HSV Clubsport – HSV062

This 1992 VP HSV Clubsport, build number HSV062, was purchased deregistered and needed a number of repairs before it could be put back on the road.

Powered by a 304 V8 with an automatic transmission, the car required work across several areas. Some of the wiring needed to be repaired and tidied, rust was dealt with, the interior was cleaned up and a number of mechanical jobs were completed.

Once the necessary repairs had been worked through, the Clubsport was prepared for the re-vinning process.

The car was red from the factory, as were the VP HSV Clubsports brought into New Zealand, so retaining its red finish also kept an important part of the car’s original appearance.

What started as a deregistered HSV needing attention was brought back into a much better condition and given the work needed to return it to the road.
