2002 VX CSV ( CORSA SPECIAL VEHICLE ) ( CSV046)

5.7 ltr, 6 speed manual

Purchased with no NZ history, this car was imported damaged and left to the elements for several years,

After stripping out the interior, removing the screens and repairing the frontal accident damage I replaced the carpet, hood lining, glass and valeted the remaining interior. The panel damage required a repair cert. and with a bit of paper work I acquired a Special Interest Registration.

Final touches included locating and acquiring the factory Mags

The Car still carries a Monaro Bonnet and SS front clip, the third photo shows it in original form.

1992 VP HSV Clubsport ( HSV062)

304 Auto

Purchased deregistered 

This required some rewiring, rust repair, interior tidy up and mechanical work before revinning

This car was red from factory, all imported to NZ were, 

1980 VB SL/E

Purchased from a barn near Morrinsville,

This car had no motor or trans, investigation/research revealed it was originally a 253 Trimatic but it was imported and registered in 1987 with a 308 engine, I have installed a rebuilt 308 and Trimatic and completely striped and rebuilt the body with new rubbers, glass, new paint in the factory colour, new carpet installed. The dash, front and rear seats reupholstered.  Finished off with globe mags and 245/50R14 tyres

1979 VB SL/E

Purchased from Tauranga with no motor or trans but mostly complete

I transplanted a 308 and T400 from a rusty VB,

After some panel work and tidy up this passed a WOF and has been driven often.

Success To Date

1970 HT Kingswood

This was purchased from a storage shed company, clear out auction, unseen,

Originally a 253 and auto, I purchased a good secondhand motor and trans, then mechanical's were tided up, including wiring, only a small amount of rust was professionally repaired.

Fiberglass guards were replaced with repaired steel guards, The 5 steel rims were sand blasted and painted then fitted with white wall tires.

It is still requiring re-registering

2002 VT Clubsport

Purchased degistered with frontal damage.

This car was repaired, with repair cert for revinning,

After a couple of enjoyable years of motoring, I regretfully sold it to fund more projects.

1984 VK 308 Manual

This VK was purchased some time after its owner left for Australia, It had the manual GM 4speed out and I fitted a 5 speed Toyota, Rust was removed from both screen and the boot floor, brake work and general tidy up got it a wof.

It still requires panel and paint.

1995 Vs Clubsport Silver Auto (HSV 177)

Swapped for a VS SS, was not running and in very rough condition.

A Total rebuild was under taken with windup windows installed, tri spokes & new paint job

1990 VN GTS V6

Brought with new paint, but I replaced a lot of broken plastics, hood lining and removed rust around screen, engine well ran well but needed a new water pump as it was noisy.

1999 VT Clubsport R8 Manual (HSV 716)

Purchased as a stripped out damaged body, Damaged repaired and car rebuilt with 2002 Senator 5.7 ltr LS1, brand new T56 corvette gear box.  GTO front clip, red SS leather seats,  Factory R8 suspension.

1992 VP Clubsport (HSV 227)

After sitting neglected for some time, I rescued it.  The only rust was around the back window & the electrics were mostly removed, I was excited find all HSV badges and modifications were in place, including the 4 spoke momo steering wheel.  This is still a work in progress.
